As part of the prestigious International Physics Congress of the Turkish Physical Society, a special event will be organized for undergraduate students. This workshop, which will be held under the name of the principles and basic applications of Monte Carlo simulation code use in radiation applications, aims to teach the participants basic theoretical knowledge about radiation transport and Monte Carlo simulation techniques in a practical way. During this 2-day workshop, detailed information will be given on basic input writing and how to perform the simulation, and the aim is for participants to increase their knowledge and skills in this important research field. We invite students who are interested in radiation transport and Monte Carlo simulations to this learning and application event.
During the event, participants will have the chance to experience practical applications as well as theoretical knowledge.
Date: 3-4 September 2024
Day 1 – Monte Carlo simulation – Theoretical Fundamentals / Principles / Codes
Day 2 – Application / Basic Design / Basic Radiation Transport / 2D and 3D Visualization
Note: Students who will participate must have their personal computers, 1 USB and power connections with them.
